Who is Southern Lamps, and what do we do?
Southern Lamps specializes in supplying high-quality UV curing lamps, UV-C disinfection lamps, and IR drying lamps. We also offer curing/drying equipment service and repair.
We have over 70 years of combined experience in both the UV and IR lamp manufacturing industries and in infrared /UV drying equipment installation and field service. Southern Lamps supplies only world-leading ultraviolet and infrared lamps to suit your specific replacement lamp requirements.
Stefanie DeBetta Langler (Business Development Manager)
- How long have you been at Southern Lamps?
- I started working at Southern Lamps in the afternoons after school in 2005 and continued to work part-time through high school and university until 2011, when I graduated and started working full-time.
- What is your favorite thing about working with the company?
- I love reflecting on the growth we’ve experienced over the years and the achievements we have made as a family-owned business.
- What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
- I was born in Canada, so I have dual citizenship and a Canadian passport.
- What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
- Most of my weekends are spent by the pool with my family. I also love to travel, cook, and stay active.
- What is your dream vacation spot?
- My dream is to spend a month exploring Italy.
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
- I would love to be able to teleport – as much as I love to travel, I am not a fan of flying, so I would love to snap my fingers and end up somewhere else instantly.
Julie Velazquez-Vazquez (Customer Support Supervisor)

- What is your favorite thing about working with the company?
- Coming in to see the doggies. I enjoy my time with my work family.
- What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
- I collect sneakers, and I have over 250 pairs.
- What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
- I enjoy taking my time to clean my car.
- What is your dream vacation spot?
- Bora Bora
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
- I would like to have the power to heal. I would love to heal people of sickness and disabilities.
Katherine Rivera Collazo (Regional Sales Specialist)

- What is your favorite thing about working with the company?
- My coworkers and pets (Lola & T Rex).
- What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
- I consider myself a food connoisseur and can say the alphabet backward.
- What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
- I love spending time with friends, in a body of water, riding my motorcycle, and at the gym.
- What is your dream vacation spot?
- Maldives.
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
- Clairvoyant… Self-explanatory!

- What is your favorite thing about working with the company?
- I have the privilege of working with an amazing group of people. It’s truly a family-oriented business, and we are all treated as part of the family.
- What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
- I’m a collector of many different things. But something most of my co-workers don’t know is that I have between 25,000–30,000 baseball cards.
- What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
- My wife and I spend a lot of our free time junkin’/antiquing.
- What is your dream vacation spot?
- Maine or the Pacific NW
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
- I would like the ability to read minds. With this superpower, maybe I could finally understand exactly what my wife is thinking.

- There is an opportunity to learn something new every day.
- What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
- I’m a black belt in Taekwondo.
- What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
- To be with the ones I love!
- What is your dream vacation spot?
- I would love to go to Ireland to see where my family originated.
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
- Honestly, I would love to fly. I’m terrified of heights, so I think this would be a way to conquer that fear!

- I’ve been with Southern Lamps since July 2025.
- What is your favorite thing about working with the company?
- My favorite thing about working with Southern Lamps is that we are a close-knit team. Everyone supports each other, and it’s a friendly atmosphere. Everyone was so welcoming from day one, and I’m so grateful to have them!
- What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
- I used to train dogs for obedience and behavior.
- What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
- I love spending my free time outdoors, whether it’s riding horses, snowboarding, mountain biking, or throwing the tennis ball with my bulldog Marvin.
- What is your dream vacation spot?
- My dream vacation spot would be Hawaii!
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
- I would love the superpower to heal people, whether they’re fighting deadly diseases or recovering from life-changing accidents.
